We didn’t get peer pressured to do the optional zip lining activity, but since everyone else in our group was going to we didn’t want to feel left out. After a brief instructional demonstration by the amped up lead guide, we waited our turn while watching dozens of others strap themselves to the first suspended line and let gravity speedily moved them to the other side of the canyon. The setup appeared to be safe which calmed our would be fears and it seemed most everyone was enjoying flying through the air. There were five different lines we crossed and while the first stirred the most nerves and was the most exhilarating, the others allowed us to get creative in our descents. The part most people missed during the instructions was how to slow down/stop and several needed assistance from the helper before pounding through his frantically waving arms and the barrier on the other side. We ended the adventure amid screams on a not so stable suspension bridge that would not completely tip over or snap, no matter hard the wild Aussie and Dutchman tried.
