The cascades at Agua Azul are an impressive natural attraction, even if they don’t always live up to the “Blue waterfalls” moniker. Throughout most of the year, the powerful rushing water thunders into turquoise pools surrounded by lush, tropical garden. But during rainy season, loose sediment creates a murky mixture that alters the water color and taints the eye-catching effect. Unfortunately for us, heavy rains accompanied our visit so we didn’t witness the shocking colors, but the powerful cascading waters seemed even more ferocious.
Uma cachoeira mais que especial. Com águas azuis da cor do céu essas são as famosas Cascadas de Palenque. Com mais de 10 miradores e pontos para banhar-se a água realmente deve ser super azul, principalmente quando não esta em temporada de chuva, que no caso é agora. Nos últimos dias São Pedro não está dando nenhuma brecha para os turístas, e o barro que vem das montanhas se misturam com as águas. Mas mesmo assim, valeu a pena a visita exuberante.
