We met Dair a couple of years ago when he came to visit Chicago with one of our other friends on a road trip from St. Louis. He received our version of the “royal treatment” and ended up sleeping on an air mattress on our living room floor… He came back to Brazil in 2010 and has been living in his beloved Balneário Camboriú ever since. Given that we already had intentions to visit nearby Florianópolis, we reached out to Dair and he invited us to stay with him for a few days. It’s been great to have an inside look and hear about his take on all things in the region. He beams with pride while talking talk about his little city and we’re happy to be along for the ride. Having a contact in a strange land is always nice and we’re thankful Dair’s been able to show us around his neck of the woods.
Lisa, nossa amiga querida e especial nos apresentou essa figura, que é Dair. Ele morou em Saint Louis e quando a galera foi nos visitar em Chicago tivemos a melhor festa/churrasco/balada do ano!!! Lisa, Damian e Lana iam ficar em casa, porém Mari, Kaká, Isabelle e marido já tinham reserva num hotel, assim como Dair. Mesmo com a idéia de ter um quarto enorme só para ele, nosso amigo preferiu ficar na bagunça com a gente e dormir no colchão inflável na sala. Em 2010, Dair foi repatriado voltando a morar aqui em Balneário Camboriú. Não sei se foi muita cachaça, mas ele foi cair na besteira de nos convidar para visitá-lo aqui no Sul. E como já estava nos nossos planos vir visitar Floripa, demos uma passadinha aqui para colocar a fofoca em dia. Super legal re-encontrá-lo, saber que esta bem, feliz da vida como nunca!!!
